Crossing the Dividing Line Project – Youth and Peacebuilding in the Balkans
The Crossing the Dividing Line Project brought togehter youth from divided Balkan friction zones, ngo leaders and students facing ethnic and religious conflict during 2003-2005. The project has been funded by Humanitarian Defense which is interested in the building of cross border co-operation, focusing on education and youth,culture, development and capacity building. Humanitarian Defense co-operates with experts, academics and practitioners, as well as with scientific and research institutions in the countries of Southeast Europe on issues of democratisation, migration, xenophobia and racism, exclusion from the job market, creation of new opportunities, European integration and local governance. Humanitarian Defense is involved in creating a network of research centres and NGOs in the Balkans and the EU.
